What is MD5 checksum
or MD5 algorithm?
MD5 is acronym of Message Digest 5. Here 5 stands for version. MD5
is an algorithm written/designed by MID Professor.
After some loopholes in previous version, the Professor come up
with the new Message Digest version of the algorithm. MD5 algorithm returns a
128 bit hash value which looks like this: “ac30ce5b07b0018d65203fbc680968f5”.
The hash code also refer as checksum is a sequence of characters
generated when we implement MD5 algorithm on a file or a message input by the
provider/user.
